Bead Stitch

Prerequisites: sc, dc

Starting Chain Multiple: 2+1

 

Begin in second chain from hook

Row 1:

·  sc across

·  chain 2

·  turn


Row 2:

·  dc in the first stitch

·  yarn over

·  insert hook around the previous dc from right to left

·  pull up a loop (you now have 3 loops on your hook)


First loop pulled up around the double crochet, leaving three loops on the hook.

·  yarn over

·  insert hook around the previous dc again

·  pull up a loop (you now have 5 loops on your hook)

·  yarn over

·  insert hook around the previous dc again

·  pull up a loop (you now have 7 loops on your hook)

·  yarn over

·  pull through all but 1 loop on your hook (you will then have 2 loops left)

·  yarn over

·  pull through final 2 loops


Bead Stitch completed


·  skip 1

·  repeat [dc, bead, skip 1] across the row

·  dc in the final stitch

·  chain 1

·  turn


Row 3:

·  sc across

·  chain 2

·  turn


Row 4:

·  dc in the first stitch

·  bead stitch

·  skip 1

·  repeat [dc, bead, skip 1] across the row

·  dc in the final stitch


Repeat rows 3-4 until desired height. Do not chain or turn at the end of the pattern.
