Bobble Stitch

Alternate Names: 5 DC Bobble Stitch

Prerequisites: sc, dc

Starting Chain Multiple: Even Number

 

Begin in second chain from hook

Row 1:

·  sc across

·  chain 1

·  turn


Row 2:

·  yarn over

·  insert hook into first stitch

·  pull up a loop (you now have 3 loops on your hook)

·  yarn over

·  pull through first 2 loops on hook (you now have 2 loops on your hook)

·  yarn over

·  insert hook into same stitch

·  pull up a loop (you now have 4 loops on your hook)

·  yarn over

·  pull through first 2 loops on hook (you now have 3 loops on your hook)

·  yarn over

·  insert hook into same stitch

·  pull up a loop (you now have 5 loops on your hook)

·  yarn over

·  pull through first 2 loops on hook (you now have 4 loops on your hook)

·  yarn over

·  insert hook into same stitch

·  pull up a loop (you now have 6 loops on your hook)

·  yarn over

·  pull through first 2 loops on hook (you now have 5 loops on your hook)

·  yarn over

·  insert hook into same stitch

·  pull up a loop (you now have 7 loops on your hook)

·  yarn over

·  pull through first 2 loops on hook (you now have 6 loops on your hook)

·  yarn over

·  pull through all 6 loops on your hook

·  chain 1 to close


Bobble Stitch made


·  sc in the next stitch

·  repeat [bobble, sc] across the row

·  bobble stitch in final stitch

·  no need to do a turning chain, the closing chain from the bobble stitch counts

·  turn


Repeat rows 1-2 until desired height. Do not chain or turn at the end of the pattern.

Note: Some patterns do not end with a closing chain. Always follow the instructions for the individual pattern.
