Single Crochet Spike Stitch

Alternate Names: Spike Stitch, Long Single Crochet Stitch

Prerequisites: sc

Starting Chain Multiple: Any

Begin in second chain from hook

Row 1:

·  sc across

·  chain 1

·  turn

Row 2:

·  work a single crochet into the corresponding stitch one row below the current row, directly beneath the next stitch

·  pull the loop up to the height of the current row before completing the single crochet

·  repeat spike stitch across the row

·  chain 1

·  turn

Repeat rows 1-2 until desired height. Do not chain or turn at the end of the pattern.
