Staggered Extended Single Crochet Pairs

Prerequisites: esc, hdc

Starting Chain Multiple: Even Number

Begin in second chain from hook

Row 1:

·  insert hook into stitch and pull up a loop (2 loops on your hook)

·  insert hook into next stitch and pull up a loop (3 loops on your hook)

·  yarn over and pull through 2 loops (2 loops on your hook)

·  yarn over and pull through remaining 2 loops

esc2tog completed

·  chain 1

·  repeat [esc2tog, ch 1] across the row

·  end with hdc in the final stitch

·  chain 1

·  turn

Row 2:

·  esc2tog using the hdc and chain 1 space from below

·  chain 1

·  repeat [esc2tog, ch 1] across the row using the ch 1 spaces and the stitch from the row below

·  end with hdc in the final stitch

·  chain 1

·  turn

Repeat row 2 until desired height. Do not chain or turn at the end of the pattern.
