Thermal Stitch

Alternate Names: Double Thick Crochet Stitch, Potholder Stitch

Prerequisites: sc, BLO sc, BLO of a chain

Starting Chain Multiple: Any

 

Begin in second chain from hook

Row 1:

·  BLO sc across


Arrows identifying the back loops of the foundation chain where the first row of the Thermal Stitch is worked.

·  chain 1

·  turn


Row 2:

·  insert hook into BLO of previous stitch as well as the unworked loop from the original chain


Arrows identifying the back loop of the single crochet and the unworked loop of the foundation chain used for the next Thermal Stitch.

·  pull up a loop and complete a single crochet stitch


1 Thermal Stitch made


Completed Thermal Stitch.

·  repeat across the row


Repeat row 2 until desired height. Do not chain or turn at the end of the pattern.
